Do members need to book London Zoo?
Visitors to our Zoos must book a ticket in advance of your visit. Please note, Members are no longer required to pre-book tickets.
Can I bring food into London Zoo?
Yes, you are allowed your own food and drinks. There is no problem taking your own food & drink into the zoo although there are plenty of places to purchase food in the zoo. There are picnic tables & plenty of seats where you can sit & eat your own food.
Do you have to wear a mask in zoos?
Unless the government guidelines change, whether or not you have to wear a face mask will vary from zoo to zoo. A spokesperson for the British & Irish Association of Zoos & Aquariums (BIAZA) told Fabulous Digital that asking guests to wear face masks “is up to the discretion of the zoo where they deem it appropriate.”
Is there alcohol at London Zoo?
Drinks (including soft drink) are available for purchase. Visit one of our resident nocturnal animals and see what the lions are up to! Head back to Land of the Lions.
Can I drive to London Zoo?
ZSL London Zoo’s car park is on Outer Circle, Regent’s Park – plus we’re outside of the congestion charging zone. Sat nav: NW1 4SX. Cars and motorbikes are charged at £14.50 for visitors to the Zoo. Please be aware parking space in the Zoo’s main car park has been significantly reduced due to Thames Water/HS2 works.
Is London Zoo fully open?
Yes, our Zoos are safely open and covid-secure. Both ZSL Whipsnade and London Zoos fall under social distancing guidance, which should have a minimal impact on your visit. You can pre-book your ticket here. Day visitors will need to pre-book tickets online.
Is there free parking near London Zoo?
Free from 10am Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays and school holidays. Parking space subject to availability.) Visitors using the car park but not visiting ZSL London Zoo will be charged at the applicable rate. Car park spaces cannot be reserved or guaranteed.

You can arrive any time after the slot time shown on your booked ticket up until 1 hour before we close.
