What is the difference between AAA Classic and Plus?
AAA Classic is our core membership product that sets the standard of excellence in roadside assistance and provides safety, security, savings and peace of mind to our members. AAA Plus enhances the Classic Membership Product benefits for those members that desire a greater level of coverage.
Can I use AAA right away?
AAA Basic Membership benefits are available immediately to members upon joining. Plus and Premier service is effective 7 days after enrollment or upgrade payment is received. NOTE: Preexisting breakdowns are restricted to AAA Basic emergency roadside benefits, regardless of join or upgrade dates.
What are the AAA plus benefits?
AAA Plus members get the Classic level of benefits in addition to enhanced benefits including:
- Extended towing (up to 100 miles)
- Free 1 car-class upgrade for discounted rental with tow.
- Free emergency fuel.
- Additional locksmith coverage.
- Expanded extrication and winching service.

Can I use my AAA for a friend?
So, will AAA help you in your friend’s car? Yes! Because your AAA membership follows you, you’re covered for service in any vehicle you’re driving or riding in. There’s no need to keep your vehicle info on file or worry about coverage when you’re traveling with others.
What happens if I don’t have my AAA card?
If you are asking, ‘Can I use AAA without my card? ‘ You cannot use the service without the card. As a member, you only need your card and Triple A phone number: 800-AAA-HELP (800-222-4357) and your road problems are sorted.
Does AAA give a AARP discount?
Unfortunately, there is no official AAA senior discount.
How much is the AAA mature driver discount?
